Join us for a GRAND adventure in the
May 6-9, 2027
Activities and days are subject to change, as National Park Activities are not announced until closer to the date of arrival.
Let's start our official retreat adventure by checking into the Bright Angel Lodge, the most historic of the Grand Canyon lodging options. Bright Angel Lodge offers a rare opportunity for a rustic stay at the Canyon’s edge. Settle into your cozy cabin or lodge room and meet for a group dinner at one of the lodge (or nearby lodge's) dining facilities. A gentle evening hike or activity will be included.
Lace up your hiking boots (or trail shoes) and let's explore one of the most iconic trails in the Grand Canyon National Park, right from the doorstep of our lodge: The Bright Angel Trail! Depending on your fitness level, you will have the option to make the hike as long or as short as you desire, as there are designated turn around points on this "out and back" trail. Note that we will NOT be hiking fully down to the river in the canyon, but will hike out and back, based on fitness level, time, and experience. Enjoy your afternoon and evening at the lodge's local hangouts, take the bus around and explore the park's visitor centers!
Hopefully your legs are still in working order as we embark on another iconic trail, such as the South Kaibab Trail to Ooh Ahh Point, in the national park. Spend the day adventuring with the group, and spend the evening dancing in the sunset glow with a once in a lifetime silent disco party, right on the rim of the grand canyon!
Enjoy the morning together before checking out of the lodge and heading home. Sip a quiet cup of coffee with the sunrise and join Abby for an energizing tai chi- flow movement session. Enjoy one last group wellness activity before departing home or to the airport.
If you'd like a little extra adventure time, fly into Phoenix, AZ (PHX) the day before our retreat and stay in Sedona, AZ. (approx 2 hour drive from PHX airport). Abby will coordinate a hotel that we will meet at, and explore a hike in this beautiful town! Enjoy dinner with the group or on your own, and then, let's enjoy breakfast and a morning hike before driving the rest of the way to the Grand Canyon. (approx 2 hours drive from Sedona to the Grand Canyon National Park). We may make a pit stop along the way to the Grand Canyon for a surprise adventure (weather depending).

Note: All parking lots on the South Rim are open to all National Park visitors. There is no charge for parking with your paid entrance fee, however during peak periods of visitation, it may be necessary to park in satellite parking lots, as there is no assigned hotel parking for guests.
There are no A/C units in these rooms or cabins.
**Please note: The Grand Canyon lodging has, in the past, canceled rooms last minute due to water being unavailable. Abby will have a backup plan available, but if the South Rim lodging closes, we may be staying in different accommodations in a nearby town.
"Abby's Well Weekends are a breath of fresh air, much needed "me" time and a wonderful time to connect with new friends. I can't express how much these well weekends feed my mind, body and soul."
"Yosemite was amazing! Breathtaking views as we hiked the beautiful waterfalls, and the evening belly laughs at the pizza party. However, Lake Tahoe has my heart. My souls feels at peace near the water. Its beauty from seeing it from the plane in the sky to viewing on ground though... just wow! My favorite was yoga by the water one morning, the calmness, the sun shining on us, and being in tune with me. Ahhh!! Such great memories!"
"Abby’s Hot Springs retreat was an incredible, once in a lifetime experience. Abby is a wealth of knowledge and has such a giving heart. She truly wants everyone to be their healthiest self, mentally, physically and emotionally. Taking time to recharge and rediscover yourself is something everyone needs to do now and then. Having a few days of self reflection and growth was exactly what my soul needed. I can’t wait for the next one!"
"I came to the 2018 Well Weekend (Napa Valley) not quite sure what to expect. What I found was a group of welcoming, kind women from all over the country looking to make themselves a priority and to build relationships with each other. The food was great, the location was great and the company was the best part!"
"I have been on 7 Well Weekends and they all offered something unique. A Wellness Weekend is a place you can speak and not be judged. Vacations are great, retreating with positive, strong women...life changing!"
